We are committed to providing consistent care that our clients can come to rely upon, making day-to-day life easier for them and their families.
OUR MISSION
The Hummingbird Home Care mission is to lessen the discomfort of others while positively contributing to the quality of life of all with whom we interact. In doing so, we allow family members to cherish their time with loved ones without the burden of being just the primary caretaker.
OUR FOUNDER
All of us know someone who is lucky to work in an area where they happen to feel passion. Our founder, Gia (Reale) Cefaratti, is one such person. Ever since she accompanied her mother, Barbara, to work as a nurse at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in 1986 (Gia was a candy striper), while also working as an aide at a local nursing home, she has in some way been drawn to being a caregiver. Gia, always aspiring to honor her mother’s service to others, founded Hummingbird Home Care in 2012, which grew from a desire to offer more family-oriented home healthcare options. Hummingbird understands the unique challenges this can create and has tailored its services to try and meet these needs.
