The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Center of Silicon Valley was founded by Dr. Salima Brillman in December 2017. It was her vision to offer patients and their loved ones a healthcare model that prioritizes and sets forth a practice focus on improving quality of life. Dr. Brillman provides patients and their families the opportunity of having individualized health care, where third parties like PPOs or HMOs do not set the time and frequency of clinical visits. The concierge model we use allows the patient and their families’ medical needs to be met. Dr. Brillman makes it a priority to approach each of her patients as an individual, where no one has the same medical treatment “recipe”, she strategizes a specific treatment based on her patients’ medical histories and the creation of a partnership with the patient’s other treating physicians. In addition to patient-centered care, she believes in addressing all caregiver needs and questions through medical, educational, and personal support. Taking a holistic approach to treating patients, Dr. Brillman offers access to ancillary services, which is vital to improving quality of life. Lastly, Dr. Brillman offers to her patients, as well as to those in the community who are not members, an opportunity to participate in clinical trials, should they be interested.
