M Wellness is owned and operated by seasoned occupational therapists. After nearly 20 years of experience mainly in the home health setting, many therapists were becoming weary of staffing companies being the “middleman” with frequent back-and-forth dialogue regarding patient care, authorizations, and assignment of referrals. It seems a new intervention is needed to expedite faster response time. Being the resourceful occupational therapists that we are, the idea of an online directory to enhance collaboration was born! The main focus of the directory expanded not only to clinicians but also vendors for durable medical equipment, ADA compliant contractors for home modifications, caregivers, as well as trainers just to name a few. But it doesn’t end there. This resilient group of occupational therapists was set to alter the course and future of skilled therapy by placing an emphasis on prevention.
