Good Shepherd Home Health Services is based in Houston, Texas and established in 2006. We are licensed by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services (formerly Department of Aging and Disability Services), certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and accredited by the Joint Commission. We serve 8 counties surrounding Houston: Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, and Waller.
In 2010, we were awarded a contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs thru the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center Houston for seriously wounded veterans. In the same year, we were also awarded the contract for Harris Health System (previously Harris County Hospital District). We continue to serve these patients today, as well as over 20 hospitals and clinics which include Ben Taub and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospitals for Harris Health.

Nursing
-Per Visit or 24-hour Private Duty: Assessment, evaluation, education, and treatment
-Comprehensive Wound Care by Highly Trained WOCN nurses
-Ventilator, Tracheostomy, Catheter and Continence Care, Ostomy, Nephrostomy, Pleural Catheters
Therapy (Physical, Occupational, Speech)
-Plan, organize, and conduct therapy treatment based on the medical referral and comprehensive evaluation
Medical Social Worker
-Assess, analyze, refer, counsel, and coordinate care to meet the needs of the patient/client and family
Personal Assistance (CNA/home health aide, homemaker, respite)
-Supervised by a registered nurse or registered therapist, personal care includes but is not limited to, vitals monitoring, medication reminders, bathing, feeding, transferring, dressing, ambulating, meal prep, and errands.
We accept Medicare, community Health Choice, TriWest, and Private Pay.
Management and field staff are Registered Nurses, Therapists and aides with combined experience in: Wound Care (WOCN), ICU, ER, Oncology, Transplant, Hospital Administration, Hospice, Case Management, and Pediatrics among others.
