Hospice of the Calumet Area is a non-for-profit organization in Munster, Indiana dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families facing an end-of-life illness through compassionate care.
The Hospice of the Calumet Area’s staff of highly qualified nurses, social workers, clergy and volunteers work in partnership with the patient, family and their personal physician to make the final period of life comfortable and peaceful.
They utilize a system that focuses on the patients’​ needs: physical, psychological and spiritual. The goal is to help keep the patient as pain-free as possible, with loved ones nearby until death. To maximize the quality of life, the hospice team develops a care plan that makes each patient comfortable.
